Preparing the frame
Lengths of treated pine are planed into this shape.
The bevel is to ensure that the canvas surface will not be in contact with the frame causing marks on the finished surface.

Frame Joinery
The wood is then mitered using our precision machinery. It is then joined, glued and left to set.
All corners are perfectly square and cross bracing is added for larger sizes.

Canvas Material
Canvas is then chosen to suit the desired painting. (Either hopsack where a textured surface is needed or cotton duck for a smoother finish). It is then cut to size.

Stretching the Canvas
The canvas is stretched over the frame with the corners neatly folded in to prevent fraying.

Priming the Canvas
To further stretch the canvas and to provide a good working surface, the mounted canvas receives two coats of acrylic primer paint.

Acrylic Paints
All paintings are executed using the finest acrylic paints. The paint can be applied in a variety ways to secure a well textured finish.
The colours that we use can be matched exactly to your specific requirements.
